I want to ask if it is necessary at all to install Asmedia USB3.0/3.1 drivers at all, it works fine as it is, What are the drivers for? It turns out my Asus Z97-A motherboard doesn't have an Asmedia USB controller, there is a Z97-A USB 3.1 version that does though. I am using MSI Z170a Gaming, and i use an External HDD-Dock connected via USB.
